Shaydon prayerfully prepared his farewell talk in the car on our way to state high school baseball in which Snow Canyon took state! Anyway, he shared a personal story about prayer when he and Clint got lost riding the four wheeler during our family camping trip to Baker Reservoir last fall. He had never shared this story with anyone so it was the first time Jon and I had heard it. You could really feel the spirit as he retold the events that led him to praying for help finding his way back to camp. I was very proud of him and felt comforted that my son gained a testimony of prayer that day and will be able to use this experience while on his mission to Ecuador. He had the crowd laughing and crying all the way through the meeting and did a fantastic job!
Some watching the slide show/DVD that Cassidee put together honoring Shaydon's fun filled life! Cass is so talented and has an eye for putting videos together. The pictures and music went together beautifully and still makes me cry every time I watch it!

Some of Shaydon's best friends have always been his dogs. He will miss them as much as his own family for sure! Shady and Sonny (gold dog) have practically grown up together and Shade is considered Sonny's master. They love each other and it's almost as sad for us to see Sonny in the backyard wondering where Shaydon is as much as how sad Shaydon is without the dog!
